Day 207, Week 29 + 6 Days (Thursday)
News
Flash…… Robbie has moved again…. Well maybe it isn’t so
much of a news flash since he has been moved so many times so
far…. Robbie is now back at Plano Specialty Hospital for wound
care. The new cast reopened the injury he suffered to the back
of his right leg. They had to take the new cast off and now he
has a soft Velcro cast on his leg that can be taken off to
service his wounds. He now has a vacuum bandage to help the
healing process.
Yesterday
was Robbie’s 27th Birthday. We brought in a cake to
help him celebrate and to thank the hospital staff for
everything they have done for Robbie. We thought he was going to
be transferred yesterday and had a cake ready for Plano
Specialty Hospital too. We helped them celebrate his birthday a
day late today. Everyone at Plano Specialty was happy to see
Robbie again. They say he really looks good and treat him like
he is family.
On
another note just to warn everyone out there….. We have been
using Robbie’s car and parking it at Zale using the Valet
Parking for the last couple of weeks. Today I left my cell phone
in the car and realized it after getting to Robbie’s room. I
went downstairs to get my cell phone out of the car. I didn’t
need them to bring the car up to get the cell phone so I just
asked for the keys so I could get it. They gave me the keys and
told me where the car was parked. I walked out to the car and
they had it wedged in between two cars. There was not enough
room on either side for a skinny person (let alone me) to get in
or out of the car. I knew the cell phone was right besides the
driver’s seat so I wedged myself in to open the door (good
thing it had the electric door locks) and get out the cell
phone. I still wondered how someone could get in….. That’s
when I noticed the ding in the car beside Robbie’s that was
made from Robbie’s door by whoever parked the car. This
sparked something in me to check Robbie’s passenger door where
I found 3 dings caused by this valet service. I asked the manger
to come show me how they could get in and out of his car without
dinging the car next door. He couldn’t and acknowledged they
caused the damaged to both Robbie’s car and the one next door.
They made out a claim form and told me they would cover the
dings. I asked what about the damage to the car next to his and
if they would tell that person…. They gave me a card
apologizing for the damage which said they do understand
accidents sometime happened. I called the contractors main
office and talked to the manger there about it. He said to get
an estimate and fax it in to them and they would take care of
it. I asked him what he planned to do about the car next to
Robbie’s and to please have that driver call me to let me know
they contacted him… That brought a good laugh from that
management…. Yeah right… I also complained that this was
intentional by how close they parked the car. He said they had
to park them that close????…. Here is the warning….. they
don’t care about you car…. only about how many cars they can
fit into the space that is provided. So if you ever use valet
parking look your car over very good for any damage before
getting in (even if the driver is waiting holding your door open
for his tip). You just might be tipping the guy who damaged your
car. Yes I am peeved….. now I have something else to take care
of on top of everything else.

Day 210, Week 30 Days (Friday)
Somewhere
I lost a day in these emails…… Last night I had it as 208
days when it was really 209 days…. Fussy, Fussy, Fussy…. OK
enough for the trivia stuff.
I
posted the new update to Robbie website last night. It is now
updated to the last of September. Hey almost got up to date on
that too.
Enjoy
and let me know what you think of the update.
